Hello!
I hope you are taking care of yourself.
As you may recall, I abandoned your inbox late last year to have a baby.
Well I am very happy to report that I survived labour, post-partum and even the three-month sleep regression!
My little boy and I are not only surviving but THRIVING.
It was during this time of absolute mayhem that I fell back in love…
…
with reading.
During the sleepless nights, hourly feeds and contact naps, I found myself turning to the pages of a really good book. Whether it was an epic Romantasy, a saucy romance or a thrilling spy novel I was having an EXCELLENT time.
To the point that I even resumed my BookTok account!
So when I started thinking about what I wanted to do with What Tink Thinks after mat leave, I was drawn to the idea of creating a more book-focused newsletter.
Enter from Page to Popcorn!
But what is from Page to Popcorn?
I am so glad you asked.
Each week I will chat to you about all the stories I am obsessing over whether that be the books I am reading, the reality tv I am watching or the blockbuster movie I have just seen.
This will be broken down into the following categories;
📚 Read It
The books I am reading and any bookish news I’m getting excited over
🍿 Watch It
All the tv-shows and movies I am binging and can’t stop thinking about
💗 Love It
Any other content I am consuming and loving. This could be an article, a podcast, a TikTok or anything I think is worth sharing!
📝 Author’s Note
This section will replace the final thought section that I know many of you came to know and love of What Tink Thinks. It will be here I will most likely discuss a pop culture moment of the week and what I think about it.
Now I know for some of you this shift in focus will come as a disappointment. And I understand.
I still spend my days thinking about what really is going on with Justin Bieber, the controversy around the Bezos wedding and Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal’s hard launch. (Could I love them anymore!?!)
So if you are more Wagatha than Agatha Christie can I recommend some brilliant pop culture journalism:
Buuuuttttttt I hope you will still stick around and learn about the books, tv shows and movies that are worth talking about week on week.
If you are a paid subscriber, your subscription will remain the same and I hope you find your new content to be just as valuable. And as always, I would love to hear any feedback you have for the newsletter!
For the rest of you freeloaders, I am sure you will continue to enjoy the newsletter but if on the off chance you have come into some money in my absence, I hope you consider upgrading your subscription…
We will be starting next Friday (11th July) with a historical fiction by Kristin Hannah, a Romantasy by Callie Hart and our favourite cheerleaders who are back on Netflix!
Until then,
Love Tink x
